WORKSHOP 1
Nature and the Nervous System
Understand how the nervous system responds to stress and explore how contact with nature can help us regulate, slow down and feel more grounded.
Nature-based wellbeing on the Gower Peninsula
A flexible three-part nature and wellbeing programme for people aged over 50.
RE-WILD supports people aged over 50 to connect with wellbeing, with each other and with the natural world through experiences in the Gower countryside and coast. It can also offer valuable support for people experiencing anxiety, low mood or depression.

Delivered several times across the Gower Peninsula, RE-WILD combines evidence-based psychology with nature-based learning, creative activity and practical experiences in the countryside and along the coast. The programme is for anyone over 50 who wants to strengthen their wellbeing and connection with nature, including people experiencing anxiety, low mood or depression.

RE-WILD creates space to slow down, notice what is happening in mind and body, and explore new ways of responding to difficult thoughts and feelings.
Learning is brought to life through discussion, walking, grounding, navigation and creative activities, making the psychology practical, memorable and relevant.
WORKSHOP 1
Understand how the nervous system responds to stress and explore how contact with nature can help us regulate, slow down and feel more grounded.
WORKSHOP 2
Explore awareness, connection and self-care, using nature and creativity to develop a kinder and more supportive relationship with yourself.
WORKSHOP 3
Use outdoor navigation as an engaging framework for recognising strengths, setting meaningful goals and taking positive steps forward.

“I feel calmer than I have in a long time.”
“I feel more hopeful and positive after today.”
“I can actually use some of this in my everyday life.”
“There was a really positive energy in the group today.”
“The mix of learning, reflection and being outdoors worked so well.”
“The creative activities made it easier to connect with everything.”
RE-WILD is designed to be flexible. People can attend a single workshop or take part in all three, depending on what feels useful and manageable.
Each session works as a complete experience while also contributing to a wider journey of understanding, connection and forward movement.
